Back from summer holidays, Galerie Vauclair is preparing a special return with in first the inauguration of its new space at 24 rue de Beaune 75007 Paris.

Don't miss the official opening on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2013. We will wait for you there at 9:30 am for brunch press and from 6. pm to the cocktail. This moment is also an opportunity to open our exhibition : influences of Asia on the European ceramic art of the second half of the nineteenth century.

With this new space, Galerie Vauclair really begins a new era and wants to further develop its research devoted to cultural ties between the European production and Asian production in the field of decorative arts.

After a remarkable participation in the 2013 French May, Galerie Vauclair is now embarking on a new adventure in Hong Kong and will exhibit its finest pieces at the Fine Art Asia. This international exhibition will take place from 4 to 7 October 2013 at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong.

So Galerie Vauclair will exhibit on two continents for this fall 2013 ! 

Et à noter également pour la fin septembre la première participation de la Galerie Vauclair au Parcours de la Céramique dont la 6ème édition se déroulera du 24 au 28 septembre 2013.
And note for the end of September the first participation of the Galerie Vauclair in the Circuit of Ceramics whose sixth edition will take place from 24 to 28 September 2013.

For its first exhibition at Masterpiece, Galerie Vauclair remembered for a bold and original decor

This post is also and above all an opportunity for us to thank all those who helped and accompaniedus  during the London adventure. First super team of Williams & Hill, our carrier for this show. Also the super friendly team of Nell Gwynn House apartments (where we stayed during the time of the show). Finally the very attentive members  of the Masterpiece Fair, including Thomas Woodham Smith, our primary contact.

The London show bodes very beautiful projects with, among others an exhibition in China, Hong Kong, scheduled for October 2013. Galerie Vauclair will participate for the first time in Fine Art Asia, from 3 to 7 October.

The Galerie Vauclair Spring

Spring is coming and with it major events planned for the Galerie Vauclair ...


 From April 17 to June 23 - The "French May" in Hong Kong

This is a first for the Galerie Vauclair honored to have been selected this year to expose some pieces during the "French May" in Hong Kong, a very important celebration of French art in China. For the occasion the Galerie Vauclair is fully in the theme - The Arts of French-Style Table - with pieces quite original and unusual like this zoomorphic terrine by Edouard Borneville for the Manufacture of Gien .

This piece shows well the boundless creativity of the ceramists during the second half of the nineteenth century: they drawn their inspiration in unexplored resources or rediscovered cultures such as the Chinese culture. The Galerie Vauclair will also present dinner services in a more classical taste, but also emblematic of the second half of the nineteenth century, when artists wear a new look at the past art.

For the occasion you will find a large exhibition and sale of rattan furniture in the stand of Laurence and Denis Vauclair-Rouquette, driveway 6 stand 79. Winter gardens have marked the French society for a long time and embody a certain image of French gardens, between inside and outside, between nature and the urban world.

From May 30  to June 29 - The event of the Carré Rive Gauche 2013, under the theme "Carrément Audacieux"

For this exhibition, the Galerie Vauclair has chosen very different pieces with different eras and inspirations, creating a bold contrast between art ceramics and metal sculpture. As main piece you can find a bold monkey-lamp made ​​by Michel Zadounaïsky School in Lyon circa 1930.

Face to this big lamp, we offer several pieces from Palissy Followers. These pieces really show a common interest for some fantastic bestiary, a dreamlike imagination. The dishes by Palissy Followers, as the monkey lamp, are the result of true creative boldness. These pieces seek to break the boundaries between arts: ceramics and metalwork are confronted with sculpture and utilitarian objects first become original decorative shaped forms, real pieces of sculpture. If nearly a century separates these works, they reflect all a true  well daring designer.

For this event  celebrating this year its tenth anniversary, the Galerie Vauclair will present part of its rattan furniture collection of the second half of the nineteenth century. 2013 celebrates the 400th anniversary of the birth of Le Nôtre (1613-1700), a famous gardener of Versailles and the Galerie Vauclair joined at the event by recreating the spirit of the Winter Gardens so popular under Napoleon III.

From June 26 to July 3: The Gallery Vauclair is pleased to announce its participation in the Masterpiece Fair London

In continuation of its participation in the Biennale des Antiquaires in September 2012, the Galerie Vauclair will present for the occasion major pieces of its collection of artistic ceramics. Closely with England and its history, you'll see pieces made in the technique called "Majolica", developed at the factory Minton (Stoke-on-Trent) in 1849.
